Why take a Safe Sitter course?

Safe Sitters learn when they accept a babysitting job, they accept responsibility for a child's life. Babysitters need to be ready, willing, and able to handle all the child requires. A Safe Sitter class will teach your child everything she needs to know.

Is your child ready to stay home alone, watch younger brothers and sisters while you're away from the house, or babysit for younger children? Then maybe it's time for Safe Sitter®. Safe Sitter® is for boys and girls in grades 6-8 who are ready to learn the skills they need to care for themselves and younger children.

Safe Sitter® teaches young teens how to practice important safety skills, how to handle emergencies, and how to treat illnesses and injuries, and even teach CPR. In addition, students learn important business skills, like how to screen jobs, set a wage, and work with employers.

Sonia Bond

Sonia was a Safe Sitter graduate in 1993, and has had a long and rewarding career working with families and children since then. She is a proud mother of four children ages 20-9, and knows that the skills she learned in her Safe Sitter course helped her not only be a confident babysitter, but also a confident parent.

Professionally, she has taught sex education courses, breastfeeding, childbirth education, infant feeding and care, and birth assistant courses for over a decade. Sonia is a full time infant care specialist, postpartum and birth doula, and co-owner of Bell House Birth Services, which makes her the perfect instructor for your child.
